Last month, Iran became a member of the UN Commission on the Status of Women....

AWESOME UN!!!

There are forty-eight million women in Iran.

In their country they are subject to the following: random arrest and imprisonment, torture, stoning, hanging, and rape.

Iran considers the value of a woman’s life to be one-half the value of a man’s life, by law.

Iranian women can be deprived of the right to an education, employment, travel, custody of children, and need permission to leave the house. Little girls are given criminal responsibility at the age of nine.

NOBODY PROTESTED THIS! NONE of the world’s democracies, INCLUDING THE UNITED STATES , said a word or left the room.

It was told to a reporter that this vote was a “backroom deal to get Iran to abandon its seat on the Human Rights Council in exchange for the women’s rights seat.”

SO MUCH FOR THE HUMANITY OF WOMEN!

Recently, “ Iran’s “holy men of God’ hung five young people, one of whom was a woman, and have refused to return the bodies to their families. Twenty-one women are now on the list to be hung or stoned to death.”

SO…I want to hear AGAIN, how much THIS administration CARES about the plight of the oppressed around the world.

And where are the outraged voices of the FEMINISTS crying out for their Muslim sisters?

It appears that, at the United Nations, and in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,

the definition of who is oppressed is GENDER SPECIFIC and ETHNOCENTRIC... MUSLIM WOMEN need not apply.
